There is a very big difference between the products you find on Sephora USA with the products you find in Sephora Spain but still I have to be thankful that at least there is a Sephora with a big variety of products here. The big mistake I have made is to be on their newsletter because they enchant me with their sales online every now and then and I have little-to no self control when buying makeup.
So when I received an email last week telling me there is a “gift” from Marc Jacobs makeup I had to succumb to the temptation of buying more than 40 euros so I could receive my gift and I am pretty I did.
- ZOEVA palette in “Naturally Yours”
- Marc Jacobs little purse mirror
- Glam Glow “Youthmud” mask in travel size
- Marc Jacobs mini lipstick (246 Slow Burn)
- Too Faced “Better than Sex” mascara in travel size
- Marc Jacobs (Velvet Noir 10) travel size mascara
- Marc Jacobs travel size eyeliner
This is my first time trying ZOEVA products and I have to say that the packaging is very nice and most of the colors blend well (the three nude colors in the corner were actually not pigmented at all even though I used some Mac Fix + to blend them in my eye). I wanted a travel friendly palette that wouldn’t ruin my bank account (this palette was 22 euros) and to be fair the rest of the colors were lovely.
This year I was sure that my Halloween costume would be Harley Quinn. I even bought the blue and pink hair pigments, the baseball bat and the wig. The only problem was that the wig was a online-late-night-half-asleep purchase and when it arrived it was…well yes…wait for it…TERRIBLE.
So not to feel discouraged I opted for my favorite movie ever: Black Swan. I love getting inspired in pop culture for my costumes. For the ones that have followed this blog since the beginning you know how much I love this movie (my 25th birthday party was Black Swan themed…thank you very much). I tried to replicate the makeup of the poster and I am writing this post with blood-red eyes since the black gel I used for the eyes was irritating AF and that came in really handy to complete the look.
Hope you guys have a wonderful Halloween ❤ 🙂
I don’t know about you, but I love seeing posts of what people carry on their bag (little creepy right?). In my defense it is just kind of fun to take a peak and see if they are organized, what products do they carry around, what can’t they live without. It is fun.
I have shared the “what’s in my bag” post and “what’s inside my travel carry-on” post and after taking a look at those two posts I need to add some similar posts with more appealing pictures. Let us called them the “updated” ones.
Next week I am going to be out-of-town for a small business/pleasure trip and (obviously) I am going to share it the week after with you guys so you can see how lovely the place I am going to is. It is a short trip so I try to fit as little makeup as possible in my toiletries bag.

- Duo lash glue
- L’oreal Infallible 24 h-mat (20 sand)

This makeup bag is fantastic because it’s small, practical and has plastic coverage so is something spills, it won’t ruin my things (let’s add that is cute too). I bought it from Forever 21 two years ago.
I would love to know, what’s do you guys put inside your make up travel bag?
Last year our Christmas night was kind of relaxed and homey. This year I plan to practically do the same; a lovely home-made dinner and some fun movies. Both Jimmy’s family and mine are far away so we have each other to keep company and celebrate new traditions together.
My mother-in-law and my brother-in-law are coming to visit and spend New Year’s Eve with us so I hope we have some time to go out and celebrate!
I was searching for some make up inspiration on Pinterest and decided that this New Year is going to sparkle big time. I am going for shimmer and glitter!
Here I present you my inspiration for New Year’s Eve makeup.
Jimmy and I celebrated our 12th Anniversary on December 20th and I still can’t believe how long it has been since we met. It is always a special day for us and we celebrate it (that is why our artistic name is 12/20).
I was really excited when I opened my presents because I saw some M.A.C products (yey!) and some ESSIE products which I love (just to make things clear: this post is not by any means sponsored, I just truly love them).
A bonus with my present were those beautiful earrings; last month I told Jimmy in a casual conversation that I had lost and earring and he got the clue (my smart boy).
I made this in a hurry and I was loving every part of it. I got obsessed with this costume just as much as the Black Swan one. The horns are made of cardboard, plastic and black scotch tape. I followed Kandee’s tutorial for the makeup and Jimmy helped me with his fantastic photographer skills.
May you all have a fantastic, spooky and fun Halloween!
I have brown eyes and I have learned what colors suit me and what colors make me look like I had a fight with a makeup artist.
Gold looks good on brown eyes because it is part of that color palette (what the heck, gold look good on everything!). I like to wear a smoky eye and then fill it with gold on the inside crease. Sometimes I wear black liner on the top lid and a small golden line under the eye. Looks pretty good if you ask me.
On the bottom I have posted three makeup tutorials I found on Youtube. Enjoy!
